Sandi’s Guinea Pig Shaped Soaps Charm Cavy Enthusiasts

What began as a hobby back in 2000 has grown into an fun business venture. She began her hobby on a particularly cold and snowy winter. She experimented with various formulas reaching success with high quality ingredients. Some items are made with herbs from her very own backyard. These products are not intended for use on guinea pigs but for the cavy collector or animal lover who enjoy finely crafted guinea pig themed items. Sandi’s Soap Scents online store features more than just soap with “luxurious handmade bath, body and home fragrance products,” like hand and body lotions, scented body and hair mists, potpourri and more.
You might be wondering if Sandi is a rodent lover as well with so many small animals appearing in her fun and unique designs. She tells Guinea Pig Today, “The more guinea pigs soaps I make the more I enjoy making them. I feel like I am actually able to put personality into each and everyone one. I have always wanted to own a couple piggies but with having dachshunds my entire life, it just didn’t seem like a great idea.”
While she doesn’t current own any guinea pigs, animal rescues benefit from the sale of her soap crafts. Sandi shares, “I’ve been doing dog rescue fundraisers for several years, added rat rescue fundraisers for a year or two now so maybe I’ll be doing guinea pig rescue fundraisers as well.”
Will we see more guinea pig themes in the future? Only time will tell but Sandi tells us, “I think they are just the cutest little animals.”
